Dr. Sandor Kulcsar chemical engineer, doctorate from the Budapest Technical University. He has more than 60 international scientific-chemical publications. Since 1967 there are 26 patent protected innovation of both his own inventions and as part of a research group. He sold numerous battery manufacturing related technology licenses in more regions, e.g. Germany (Hoppecke), Russia (Saratov), China (Xing-Xiang), etc. Presently founder and owner of Accusealed Ltd. that trades and installs solar panels.
Parallel with managing the company he carries out hydrogen production and storage researches with the assistance of the Technical Development Found of the Hungarian Academy of Science (MTA / MFA) and Budapest Technical University with the financial support of the National Research and Technology Office. The original objective of the research on Hydrogen Production and Storage Unit (HPSU) was to develop a H2 equipment for driving vehicles. The development showed the advantages of this hydrogen storage solution, so the focus has changed to the universal purpose utilization.
Finally, Dr. Kulcsar has registered the patent in Hungary for this Hydrogen Battery (HYB) innovation owned by himself and his daughter Dr. Gabriella Feher. There have been produced 100 units of the Hydrogen Battery that are in experimental vehicles, laboratories, education workshops and companies. In the course of the four-year test period the equipment performed 750 full charge cycles. From the test result is estimated the minimum 1000 cycles in its present state of development (TRL>6).
On one hand the hydrogen in bound form is the most abundant element on the Earth, so practically inexhaustible. Secondly, the hydrogen can be produced anywhere by the clean method of water electrolysis and renewable energy sources. Thirdly, the hydrogen is absolutely environment friendly, since the water is the only by-product after energetic usage. The water that has been used will be returned. So, the hydrogen is inexhaustible, available, environment friendly.
It is well known since long that the use of fossil energy sources is not sustainable because of its harmful effects to the environment. A new energy carrier should be chosen, if we want to inhale healthy air or want to reduce the GHG emission, furthermore if we want to produce our own energy. The Hydrogen Battery that has been developed by us will offer a solution for all of these together. The device is fully connectible to the renewable energy utilising equipment.
The Hydrogen Battery technology was developed a small R&D team. The objective of the innovation was to offer a cheaper, simpler, safer, and more cost-effective solution for hydrogen storage. Our primary aim is to transfer the HYB manufacturing technology (already 250,000 USD). The production of the HYB equipment can be especially promising for those interested in battery technologies, hydrogen technologies, or renewable energy utilisation technologies.
